Account Migration: Action Required Before Secondary Market Launch

Friday, February 13, 2026 2 min read For investors

Action required: Existing GigaStar Market Investors must complete account migration before the Secondary Market launches in March 2026. If you do not complete this process, you will not be able to trade on the Secondary Market on launch day.

Why Migration Is Necessary

The GigaStar Secondary Market is operated by GigaStar Securities LLC, a registered broker-dealer and ATS operator. This is a separate legal entity from GigaStar Market, the SEC-registered funding portal where you originally purchased your Channel Revenue Tokens (CRTs).

Because these are distinct regulated entities, your existing GigaStar Market account does not automatically carry over. GigaStar Securities LLC must verify your identity independently under updated Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements to comply with SEC and FINRA regulations.

Step-by-Step Migration Process

Follow these steps to ensure your account is ready for launch day:

Step 1: Log In to Your GigaStar Market Account

Visit your existing GigaStar Market account dashboard. You will see a banner or notification prompting you to begin the migration process.

Step 2: Initiate the Migration

Click the migration prompt to begin. You will be guided to the GigaStar Securities LLC onboarding flow.

Step 3: Complete Updated KYC Verification

You will need to provide:

  • Government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID)
  • Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, or similar document dated within 90 days)
  • Social Security Number confirmation
  • Updated contact information (current email and phone number)

Some Investors may be asked additional verification questions depending on their account profile.

Step 4: Review and Accept the New Account Agreement

The GigaStar Securities LLC account agreement covers the terms of trading on the ATS, including fee disclosures, risk acknowledgments, and dispute resolution procedures. Read this document carefully before accepting.

Step 5: Confirmation

Once your KYC is approved, you will receive a confirmation email. Your GigaStar Securities LLC account will be linked to your existing CRT holdings, and your eligible positions will appear in the Secondary Market interface.

What Happens If You Don't Migrate

If you do not complete the migration process before launch:

  • You will not be able to place buy or sell orders on the Secondary Market
  • Your CRT holdings are unaffected — you will continue to receive monthly distributions as usual
  • You can migrate later — the process will remain available after launch, but you will miss the initial trading window

Deadline

Complete your migration as soon as possible. The verification process may take several business days, and high volumes of applications near the deadline could cause delays. Do not wait until the week before launch.
